Sundance 2022 Video: That Shelf’s Wrap-up Roundtable

Spread the love

After ten days and two dozen movies, Sundance 2022 is a wrap for me.

On Sunday evening, That Shelf’s film critics joined up for a post-festival roundtable. Our 90-minute touches on what it’s like covering a virtual festival, Sundance’s knockout documentary line-up, as well as the films that blew us away (or broke our brains).

The team had plenty of love for After Yang (Kogonada), Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (Sophie Hyde), Cha Cha Reel Smooth (Cooper Raiff), and Nanny (Nikyatu Jusu). The conversation also includes Fire of Love (Sara Dosa), We Need to Talk about Cosby (W. Kamau Bell), jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy (Coodie, Chike Ozah), and many more.

So break out some snacks, settle in on the couch, and get ready for an in-depth discussion about the year’s latest and greatest films with Jason Gorber, Rachel Ho, Pat Mullen, Shane Slater, Rachel West, and me.
