Army of Thieves arrived on Netflix on October 28, 2021. In the leadup to the Army of the Dead prequel’s release Netflix sent the film’s cast out on a virtual press tour.
I interviewed the film’s director and star Matthias Schweighöfer, as well as his castmates Guz Khan, and Stuart Martin on behalf of That Shelf. I asked the talent about who they would bring on an actual heist, as well as whether or not we’ll see the series fan favourite character Ludwig Dieter return for more movies.

Army of Thieves Synopsis:
A prequel, set before the events of Army of the Dead, which focuses on German safecracker Ludwig Dieter leading a group of aspiring thieves on a top secret heist during the early stages of the zombie apocalypse.
