NefariousDope Black Movies Interview with writer-director Rhett S. Butler

On the latest Dope Black Movies, Victor Stiff sits down for a conversation with filmmaker Rhett S. Butler. Butler’s new movie Nefarious is a dark and gritty horror/crime flick shot on location in Jamaica.

Up-and-coming directors would be wise to check out this filmmaker’s work and take note. Butler willed his Nefarious into existence by putting all his blood, sweat, and tears towards bringing his passion project. In addition to writing and directing the movie, Butler served as cinematographer, editor, art director, and special effects supervisor.

The interview covers the ins and outs of indie filmmaking, using a real-life voodoo priest in the movie, as well as Rhett and Victor making a case why kung-fu flicks should be considered high art.
